Toy FAQs

Can educational toys and educational games be used in the classroom?

Most certainly! In fact, it is a good idea to incorporate both educational games and educational toys any chance that you get. You can even take along hand held electronic educational toys on road trips and to airports, too. There is absolutely no reason why learning should not be fun!

How can I take care of my kid’s wooden toys?

It is a good idea to clean your wooden toys relatively often. This will help you prevent the spread of germs. To clean the toys, take a cotton ball dipped in alcohol, and gently rub over the wooden toy. Do not soak the toy in water, because this can cause damage. If any part of your toy becomes rough, go over it with a fine sand papwer – this can also help you get rid of stains. Every once in a while, take a basic salad oil and rub it over the wooden toy to help refresh and protect your wooden toys.

What kind of baby toys should I be looking for?

Baby toys that appeal to the senses are best. Babies are all about exploring the world around them, and they do this by touching, seeing, hearing, feeling, and even tasting – we have all seen a baby putting random objects in his or her mouth. Therefore, toys with textures, sounds, color contrasts, and ones that respond to the actions of your baby are best. Also, when looking for infant toys, be sure to buy only the ones that are specifically made for infants. You do not want to end up with a seemingly harmless toy that could end up as a choking hazard!
